Effective, real life training
We believe that owning a pet is an amazing and rewarding experience, but also a responsibility, not a luxury. Training your pet properly will lead you to a greater understanding of the animal, and we firmly believe in the owner-pet relationship being one of mutual understanding and respect. Utilising a combination of dog psychology, effective training and personal training, we immerse you fully in the training process, and with this holistic approach, we find that owners end up learning as much, if not more, than their pets.
We got our reputation from helping the dogs others couldn't. If you’re thinking about getting help for your beloved dogs, you're in the right place. Over the last 9 years, we've worked with all sorts, from puppies to blind or deaf dogs, treated behaviours ranging from hyperactivity to red-zone aggression and everything in between. We've given 1-2-1 advice to dog owners around the world, so rest assured you are in good hands. Look at our testimonials page if you need some reassurance! GARETH
CEO/Head Trainer
I've always had a passion for dogs, since I was little. Through the years that passion grew. I just didn't know how to put it into place. It was around 2011 that I stumbled upon a few dog trainers. I couldn't believe what those guys were achieving, seeing what they were doing with dogs and their owners and helping in the way that I wanted to, It was that moment that my passion exploded. I quit my job and made the leap to pursue it full time, with the aim to help every dog my eyes came across. After co-founding a successful dog training center in England, I moved back to Wales and it was then a I founded GR Dog Training. Since then, it has developed a great reputation in South Wales and beyond and it's been unreal. They say that if you do a job you love, you never work a day in your life. I can assure you, 'they' are not wrong!
I've been working with dogs for over 9 years now, and in that time have worked with almost every type of problem you can think of! My experience stems greatly from watching the dogs themselves, but also from different courses too.
